South Seattle Chiropractors FAQ
As South Seattle chiropractors, we hear many questions from new and current chiropractic patients.
Here are some of the most common questions and answers...
“Can you help me and how long will it take?”

Although we cannot promise results, we can tell you that Chiropractic care has helped many people get well. We have seen great results with headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, upper back pain, mid-back pain, low back pain, tingling and numbness and pain in the arms and legs, and more. Many people also report improved energy, sleep, mood, breathing, digestion, and allergies.
How long it will take is really determined by your goals. Is your goal to just get rid of the pain? Is your goal to get rid of the pain and correct the underlying problem? Or does your goal look beyond this into prevention and wellness? Your goal along with your condition will determine how long it will take for you. What I can tell you is that most of our patients report a noticeable difference in how they feel after two to four weeks of care.
“How much will it cost and is this covered by my insurance?”
Overall cost of care is obviously determined by your goals and your condition. Many insurance companies will cover the initial evaluation, necessary x-rays and necessary follow-up care with routine deductibles and co-pays being the only responsibility of the patient. Each insurance company is different; as are the plans that are covered under the insurance. For a free verification of insurance benefits call our office at 206-723-2820. Discounts are available for services paid at the time of the visit!
“Do you have any openings for an appointment? Do I need to schedule the appointment or can I just walk in?”
Our office is open five days a week and is staffed by three chiropractors; Dr. David Butters and his daughters Dr. Natasha Butters and Dr. Tiffany Green. As a South Seattle WA chiropractor we pride ourselves in our ability to get new patients in within 48 hours and often on the same day. We recommend scheduling an appointment but we also understand that often we do not plan “pain.” If you are in need of immediate chiropractic care, please by all means let us now and we will do our best to get you in as soon as possible. The same goes for walk-ins. If you are in the neighborhood and decide to stop in, we will do our best to serve you in a timely manner.
“How long will the appointment take?”
Your initial appointment takes anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half depending on your condition. If we take you as a walk-in patient please understand that we still have scheduled patients to take care of. You may be in our office for a longer period of time. We will always do our best to make your stay with us an enjoyable one.
Kin·nect Program
Dr. Green works with a lot of special needs children. Here are the most common questions she gets regarding her Kin·nect program.
“What is Kin·nect?”
Kin·nect is a new program combining kinetics and the mind body connection! The program focuses on improving the functional capacity of your child’s nervous system through Chiropractic Care, Custom “Brain-Body” Exercises and Nutrition!
"If you are not diagnosing or treating Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder or ADHD, what exactly are you doing and how will it help my child?”
Dr. Green will test the functional capacity of your child’s nervous system to determine how it performs under certain stressors. She will be assessing their ability to do given tasks and the ease and accuracy with which they do them. She will also look at their overall endurance for the tasks over the course of the appointment. Dr. Green will assess your child’s neurological functional capacity by doing six things.
- 1. Evaluating their spine
- 2. Taking a close look at their developmental history and testing areas of concern
- 3. Evaluating for primitive reflexes that should be gone after the first year of life
- 4. Evaluating the integrity of the sensory motor systems
- 5. Evaluating via history the integrity of the gut and referring if needed
- 6. Taking a close look at their overall health history
Once Dr. Green identifies where your child is short circuiting she will utilize chiropractic, neurological brain-body exercises and nutrition to work towards our goal to improve your child’s overall neurological functional capacity.
Our approach is not to treat or cure Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD or other neurodevelopmental disorders. Our goal is simply to improve their overall functioning allowing their body to work for them instead of against them.
